broken and battered, just waiting to be fried

A blocked nose can still taste good food

I had an amazing dinner. Again.

Yes, bite me.

Back at Crown, but at The Brasserie by Philippe Mouchel. Lovely ambience, outdoor seating has great potential for something romantic, very popular and almost all tables were full, but there was room for improvement regarding the service.

That aside, the food was excellent.

***

Entrées:
Escargot with tomato fondue, garlic and parsley butter, bread croutons
The brasserie chicken liver and foie gras terrine with toasted onion jam tartine, mesclun salad

Mains:
Kurobuta pork loin with sautéed apple, potato espouma, jus for me
Duck breast with braised Daikon and beetroot, spiced jus for him

Sides:
Sautéed green beans with confit shallot
Baby peas á la Française

***

The pork loin? Mindblowing. Just well done, not too tough, and a very generous portion of fatty bit. Mmm so good.

Need sleep. Now. To recuperate from my flu.

To Springvale tomorrow! Mmm Asian goodies... :D
